How to find a good thermostat manufacturer?

Finding a good thermostat manufacturer usually involves a few key steps:

3. Is their quality reliable?

The factors that affect product quality are numerous. We can analyze each factor according to the production process.

1. Raw material
The quality of raw materials directly affects the product’s lifespan and user safety, such as the relay’s switching lifespan and whether electronic components can withstand high temperatures for extended periods. Genuine manufacturers typically have testing reports for key raw materials (based on testing reports of finished products rather than reports from material suppliers), which can confirm the product’s quality. For example, Eukaus’s relays have been tested, with a switching lifespan of at least 100,000 times.

2. Production process
The production process is based on the factory’s autonomous production capabilities. Many manufacturers do not have complete production capabilities and outsource processes such as SMT and DIP, only handling assembly and packaging. Such manufacturers often struggle to maintain consistency between products from different batches, and delivery times can be affected by outsourced processes. When customizing new products for clients, outsourcing processes can also lead to the risk of product information leakage.

3. Professional laboratory

Whether or not they have a professional testing laboratory is one of the criteria for judging the excellence of a manufacturer. A professional laboratory can simulate the working conditions of products in different environments such as high temperature, low temperature, high temperature, and high humidity, and test the operational stability and safety of products. Tested products can ensure that no additional after-sales costs are incurred for customers.

In addition, Eukaus also has a climate laboratory covering various heating systems such as water underfloor heating, electric underfloor heating, and radiators. By simulating outdoor winter temperatures, it tests the temperature control performance of thermostats at different temperatures and collects temperature data to achieve high-precision temperature control.

4. Product testing
The testing methods of a product also reflect a manufacturer’s service attitude. Eukaus, in order to ensure that all smart products received by users are qualified, has invested heavily in a shielded room to conduct 100% network testing on all products before shipment.

5. Transportation protection
An excellent manufacturer not only focuses on manufacturing capabilities but also prioritizes the protection of customer property. To ensure that customers receive goods in good condition, we also conduct road transport simulation tests and drop box tests on product packaging.

4. Are their certification qualifications adequate?

Certificates serve as market access qualifications and safety standards for products. If a certificate is issued by an unknown organization (typically costing only $500 to $800), then the testing conducted by such an organization may not meet actual standards, thus cannot fully guarantee the compliance of the product. This is particularly critical for products powered by 230V, as the consequences of electrical hazards can be unimaginable. All product certificates from Eukaus are obtained from TUV and Nemko (typically costing $6000 to $8000). An excellent manufacturer should not only be responsible for the manufacturing of the product but also for the risks to customers.

5. Do they actively cooperate when you have after-sales issues?

Some manufacturers may claim that the products they delivered have never had any issues. However, to be honest, we have indeed encountered problems with the products we delivered, resulting in significant after-sales costs for customers. Perhaps most manufacturers have faced similar issues, but how they handle these problems sets them apart.
